The current goals of the committee are to enhance the quality and usefulness of transportation surveys done at the local, state, and national levels. Read more...
The committee focuses on all types of transportation surveys, including:
- motorized and non-motorized travel;
- household and commercial travel;
- travel involving single or multiple occupancy vehicles, including public transit; and
- workplace, visitor, or recreational travel.
The committee is concerned with survey design, sampling, instrument development, data collection, processing, and analysis, and reporting of results. Enhancing the quality and usefulness of survey products for policy and planning is of primary interest.
